Located in the heart of Oviedo, Florida, near UCF area in Orlando, Amana Medical Center serves as a trusted primary and urgent care provider for patients across Seminole and Orange Counties.

In 2012, Dr. Abusuwa established Amana Medical Center, P.A., a family and urgent-care clinic in Oviedo, which relocated from East Orlando since 2003. As the founder and lead physician of Amana Medical Center, he built a practice focused on accessible, high-quality primary care (“Amana” means trust or stewardship). Over the years, he served the East Orlando community through this clinic, which became known for “health care for all” under his guidance.

From routine checkups to comprehensive chronic disease management, our experienced team delivers the highest quality of care through personalized attention, modern technology, and a commitment to clinical excellence. About Dr. Jamal Abusuwa, MD

Founder & Medical Director • Family & Urgent Care

Dr. Jamal A. Abusuwa, MD is a board-certified Family and Urgent Care physician and the founder and medical director of Amana Medical Center in Oviedo, Florida. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in Turkey in 1990 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology in 2001. Family Medicine residency in 2002, Urgent Care in 2003. He has over 20 years of medical experience, Dr. Abusuwa is licensed in the State of Florida and certified by the American Board of Urgent Care Medicine in 2003, as well as the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners to perform DOT physicals for commercial drivers. His areas of expertise include primary and preventive care, acute & chronic disease management, urgent and injury care, Mental, allergy and wellness services. Fluent in Arabic, Turkish, and English, he serves a diverse patient population with compassion and a focus on preventive health and patient education. Known for his thoroughness and caring bedside manner, Dr. Abusuwa has built a trusted reputation throughout Central Florida for his dedication to accessible, high-quality, and patient-centered care.
